Alex Sandlin is from Birmingham, Alabama. Before attending law school, Alex earned her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Alabama, graduating summa cum laude. Alex was a member of The Blackburn Institute, the University of Alabama’s Mock Trial Association, and the recipient of the Penny Allen Award.
Alex stayed in Tuscaloosa for three more years to earn her J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law. During her time in law school, she served as the Senior Editor for The Journal of the Legal Profession, received the CALI Excellence Award for Trial Advocacy, and wrote an article chosen for publication in 2023. Additionally, she was selected to be a part of Alabama Law’s Moot Court Board and competed on the Labor and Employment Moot Court team, participating in the Wagner Moot Court Competition in New York City.
